Work is displayed in the prime location and gallery atmosphere of the atrium at the Marion City Hall, 233 W. Center Street. The Popcorn Festival was named one of the top 100 events in North America by the American Bus Association and draws hundreds of thousands of visitors assuring artists a successful show.
Entry Fee The entry fee is $10.00 per piece, with a limit of three pieces. Checks should be made payable to the Mid-Ohio Fine Art Society. Send completed entry form and check/money order to MOFAS, PO Box 459, Marion, OH 43301-0459, or register & pay online at:

Media & Presentation Original work in all media is acceptable. No kits, bazaar items or commercial art will be accepted. Photographic prints from the artist’s original image and processed by that artist, or under his or her direct supervision are acceptable. We emphasize quality, creativity and appearance. All work must be framed, or otherwise mounted for exhibiting with hanging wire. For pieces larger than 36” in any dimension, include the size on the entry form. For dimensional pieces, artists must provide stable display equipment e.g. tables, pedestals, etc.
Exhibition Information Work will be received Wednesday, September 4th, at the show site from 5:00—7:00 PM. No work will be accepted after 7:00. The Marion Popcorn Festival & MOFAS reserves the right to request removal of any work. Work must be picked up on Sunday September 8, 1:00—2:00 PM. All work must remain all three Festival days. All sales are the responsibility of the artists. There will be no commission collected. The show is open to all entries, but has a space limit. Entries are accepted on a first come basis. The Marion Popcorn Festival and MOFAS are not liable for lost, stolen or damaged pieces. Judges & Awards All work will be judged by a panel of out-standing individuals in their respective art fields. Entry categories are:
Painting—Works created with fluid media in oils, acrylics, watercolor, etc.;
Drawing– Works created using dry media including chalk, charcoal, pastels, pencil,wax crayon, etc. or from medium of inks, sharpie or washes applied by pen or brush; Photography—photographic prints; Sculpture—three dimensional in any medium, including fiber;
Mixed Media-both 2 and 3 dimensional, that incorporate more than one type of physical material to produce, including fiber art. Artists may enter multiple categories. Awards: Top award is $75 for Best of Show. Category winners will receive ribbons and : First Place, $30; Second Place, $20, Third Place, $10, two Merits (ribbon only) MOFAS Award, a one year MOFAS membership; and People’s Choice Award, $30.
